Report of the 10th Workshop in Poznań, Poland

The European Laryngological Society has held its 10th Workshop in Poznań, Poland, on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th November, 2015. The workshop, with topic Contemporary Imaging of the Larynx, gathered more than 75 specialists, most of them coming from Central and Eastern Europe. We want to thank all delegates for their attendance and their contribution to the excellence that this workshop has achieved.

The organizers of the workshop, prof. Wojciech Golusiński and Maciej Misiołek, arranged a pre-workshop on Friday, with presentations form sponsors of the workshop. Amongst other presentations, introductions in NBI, as produced by Olympus, and SPIES, as produced by Storz were provided. Of course, participants were able to use the respective devices. These pre-workshops were already well attended. The Saturday had a dozen of presentations given by international and local experts in the field of imaging. In addition, live surgery was performed, clearly showing advantages of both imaging systems. Difficulties of suspension microsurgical interventions were discussed extensively. The low-profile character of the meeting clearly enhanced interactivity between audience and presenters. A lunch in the venue's garden further enhanced social interaction.

Not only did delegates receive high-class scientific information, but also a splendid dinner in a modern restaurant located on the edges of a lake. Fortunately, the meteor creating the lake crashed long before the dinner started. In a relaxed atmosphere, guests were able to taste great food and drinks, and test their dancing abilities as well.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank all attendees, speakers and commercial exhibitors who participated; the success of this workshop is due to their mutual contributions. Without them, organizing it would not have been possible.
